Gloucester is an historic waterfront city full of Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and an impressive Norman Cathedral, the cloisters of which were used as a location in the Harry Potter films. The thriving city centre is home to a superb range of shops, markets, pubs, restaurants, and other attractions for visitors. The city is an enjoyable base from which to explore the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean, which offer many country walks and picturesque villages. The Eegency town of Cheltenham is an easy drive away, and offers fascinating Georgian architecture and the world-renowned Gold Cup horse racing. There is so much for all the family to do in this lovely area, no matter what your interests.
