Gillingham is small North Dorset market town in the heart of the Blackmore Vale, well served by a good selection of local shops, inns and restaurants. The Blackmore Vale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is part of the Stour Valley with lush green countryside and a 'patchwork quilt' of fields.
