Sycamore House lies in the heart of the Eden Valley, next to the village green in Gamblesby. This picture postcard village is a real hidden gem, very picturesque, with charming sandstone cottages centred around the delightful village green and surrounded by amazing countryside. This tranquil area is relatively free of visitors and is perfect for walking or cycling, either in the valley or onto the Pennine hills. Local visitor attractions and amenities include the watermill, Long Meg stone circle and Lacys Cave, all at Little Salkeld, the pub and village bakery at Melmerby, fishing at Blencarn and the cafe at the top of Hartside is a bracing 2 hour walk. 20 minutes drive to the Lakes.
