Take a stroll into the beautiful Kentmere Valley and enjoy low and high level walking to suit all abilities, hire a bike, for the kids too, from Wheelbase in the Mill Yard and explore the local area or catch the train from Staveley and visit nearby Windermere and Bowness or the medieval market town of Kendal - theres so much to see, you may need more than a week!
