Masongill Lodge is a self catering holiday home situated just within the western boundary of the Yorkshire Dales National Park on the border with Lancashire and Cumbria.

This luxury holiday rental, which dates from 1709 is a detached Grade II listed Yorkshire long house of character and charm. The cottage is located within its own grounds in the small, attractive and peaceful hamlet of Masongill, a dozen houses half a mile up a single track no-through road which leads directly on to the fells.

From the well tended plantsman's garden and two paddocks there are beautiful views to the west as far as the Irish sea and to the east to the summit of Ingleborough. The holiday cottage is in an ideal location for an outdoor break with plenty of scenic walking and cycling directly from the front door of the property.

Masongill Lodge is close to the unspoiled market towns of Kirkby Lonsdale (five miles) and Settle (13 miles) and within easy reach of the Forest of Bowland and Southern Lake District for those who want to venture further afield. Popular local attractions include the nearby Ingleborough peak, Ingleton waterfalls, White Scar Cave, Settle/Carlisle railway, Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall, Holker Hall and the Lune Valley.

There is an excellent range of specialist shops and a highly recommended Booths supermarket at Kirkby Lonsdale and village stores at Cowan Bridge and Burton in Lonsdale (both three miles).

The nearest pub at Thornton in Lonsdale (three miles by road or public footpath) serves food. Excellent quality regional food and drink can be sampled in many other local pubs and restaurants and in particular those at Nether Burrow (the Highwayman), Kirkby Lonsdale (the Sun Inn) and Cowan Bridge (Hipping Hall).
