Set in open countryside with walks from the door, Broughton Lodge Cottage has a very quiet and extremely peaceful situation, except for perhaps the odd duck quacking from the nearby stream! The drive down the narrow country lanes to the cottage through sheep dotted, quintessentially Lakeland, fields makes it hard to imagine youve just left the M6 a few minutes earlier. The medieval village of Cartmel with its good traditional pubs serving local ales and homemade food, as well as the renowned LEnclume restaurant for special occasions, is within easy walking distance (about a mile) and is experiencing increased popularity in the off season as well as during the famous race meeting weeks. Lake Windermere and its attractions are within 15 minutes drive.
