Just 2 miles from the pretty market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Whittington is a true village set in a triangle of three counties so ideal for exploring the delights of Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire in one visit. Life in Whittington revolves around the historic Estate, the village hall, the annual races and the excellent village pub, The Dragons Head, just across the road from the cottage. Wonderful walks can be enjoyed along the riverbank to the River Lune or why not take advantage of the regular bus service into nearby Kirkby Lonsdale where you will find and eclectic selection of shops, tea rooms and restaurants to suit every pocket and palate.
