A wealth of places of interest in both Cornwall and north Devon lie within easy reach popular beaches at Duckpool and Sandymouth are about 3 miles and the wide expanses of sand and myriad attractions of the surfing resorts of Bude and Widemouth Bay are only a little further. Just a short drive away, the unique village of Clovelly, where whitewashed cottages and inns stand on steep cobbled lanes winding down to an ancient fishing harbour, is a delight to explore. To the west lie the picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac and King Arthur's legendary castle on the headland at Tintagel. Reputedly the oldest pub in England is 2 miles away and a shop is 1 miles.
