In the care of the National Trust, both Little Moreton Hall (possibly Britain's finest timber-framed, moated manor house) and the glorious gardens at Biddulph Grange lie within a short drive whilst Alton Towers is only 15 miles and Chatsworth House 20 miles. Just 3 miles distant, Leek offers interesting shopping (especially for antiques) and a pub serving food can be found 1 miles away.
