The surrounding landscape offers lovely walking, cycling and bird watching, whilst Lincoln city's cathedral and famous Christmas Market, York with its Minster and quaint streets, and the excellent shopping in Sheffield's Meadow Hall are all within an easy drive. A gentle stroll leads to the local farm shop (open 3 days a week) and the ice cream parlour in Blyton (2 miles) promises delightful indulgence. The River Trent and good shops in Gainsborough are 4 miles. Shop and pubs serving food 2 miles.
