Newcastle Emlyn, just 5 miles away, offers a sports centre, antique shops and interesting pubs and restaurants. Also within 5 miles visitors can enjoy horse riding and salmon fishing or watch the fascinating process of traditional cheesemaking, whilst the delightful market town of Cardigan, 10 miles away, boasts tennis, golf and cycle hire. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Ceredigion Heritage Coast, both 10 miles, offer various lovely beaches, including Poppit Beach and Mwnt, and spectacular coast and hill rambles are sure to delight walking enthusiasts. A little further afield, the quaint seaside town of New Quay offers boat trips to view Cardigan Bay's famous dolphins as well as for seal spotting and sea fishing. Three miles away, the evocative ruins of 13th century Cilgerran Castle (N.T.), inspiration for artists through the ages, stand overlooking the spectacular Teifi Gorge and a wide variety of attractions from Roman goldmines to the National Botanical Gardens and the thrills of family theme parks are all easily accessible and offer excellent days out.
