Stratford-upon-Avon is just 13 miles away and holds much to delight the visitor. The flower filled town offers boat trips on the river, fine buildings of historical interest, including the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and of course, the famous theatres. Anne Hathaway's Cottage can be found a short distance from the town itself.Tewkesbury, the ancient town famous for its abbey and medieval buildings, and the cathedral city of Worcester, renowned for its fine porcelain are both within easy reach. The surrounding counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire offer a wealth of attractions, all within comfortable touring distance. The Malvern Hills and some of the Cotswolds best known villages, including Chipping Campden and Broadway, are also within an easy drive, as are many National Trust properties.There are two golf course within 3 miles, fishing is available on nearby trout lakes, and the River Avon is a short distance away for boating and fishing. Swimming, tennis and riding can all be enjoyed locally and the countryside is a delight for cyclists to explore.
